Storms of Mystery

The first step is to talk to a Concordium pupil adept.  In your travels you may chance upon one of several pupils around Norrath, and any one will do. They are observing the unnatural storms in the area, as the elders of the Concordium have asked their apprentices to do.  The pupil asks you to deliver a report on the storms to the elders.  This will give you the quest, Storms of Mystery.

Deliver the report to Librarian Dungil at the Concordium Tower in South Qeynos.  Dungil is eager to read the news. Upon reviewing it, he claims to be reminded of similar tempests that were witnessed long ago, as described in the books of Sol Ro.  When you ask him about the books, he explains that many houses of arcane knowledge came from the Temple of Solusek Ro, including The Concordium.  Dungil then asks you to help locate the book, Inimicus Codex, within the library.

The Inimicus Codex is located through the red teleporter, on the floor behind Aristide Calais. Take the book to Dungil, and he will look for information about the tempests within.  As he feared, the storms are not Norrathian, but an attack from The Void.

He will next ask you to obtain additional information from the Order of Flame, in the Shrine of Thunder in Lavastorm.

Pallasa Rargon is just inside the Shrine. She will greet you and inquire about what brings you.  Upon hearing of the Void storms, she speaks of the Shadowed Men as her sect's sworn enemies and asks what is known about the tempests. When you tell her what you know, she in turn tells you much more about the Shadowed Men, a necro named Vurgo and the other holy leaders from the Temple of Solusek Ro, and the Temple's movements against The Void.

Pallasa will then give you the Acumen Occultation instrument, which will give you a better view of whatever effects the tempests may have on the creatures around them.  Unfortunately, you will only be able to see them and not help them.  Her order was researching ways to fight the Void spells, but she doesn't have any details about their work.

Return to the Concordium Tower and speak with Dungil once again.  He will ask what you learned, and you should tell him about the instrument you were given.  After explaining their purpose, he agrees there could be trouble and that a powerful potion might be needed to reverse ill effects on Norrathian creatures. Dungil will send you to see the Seeress Ealaynya Ithis in the Temple of Life in North Qeynos to acquire a potion to use on creatures you see through the glasses.

Revisit the tempest, don your new goggles, and you'll find tempest touched creatures standing in its wake. Use the potion on them and they'll be cleansed.  You'll need to cleanse 9 of them, but be wary; each cleansing releases a voidbeast.

Make one final visit to the Seeress and tell her of the beasts.  She will reward you with coin for your work and you'll earn a new title.

Void Storms Continue

Once you have completed Storms of Mystery, Seeress Ealaynya Ithis will give you a new quest, Void Storms Continue.  Tell her that the storms still persist, and she will ask for your service again.  With a new pair of glasses and bottle of potion, you'll be sent on your way to cleanse more creatures.

The reward for this quest is a note.  This quest is repeatable and notes may be collected and redeemed for a number of items.

Tempests of Mystery

The first step is to talk to an Arcane Science apprentice.  In your travels you may chance upon one of several apprentices around Norrath, and any one will do. They are observing the unnatural storms in the area, as the masters of the Academy of Arcane Science have asked their apprentices to do.  The apprentice asks you to deliver a report on the storms to the masters.  This will give you the quest, Tempests of Mystery.

Deliver the report to Librarian Motius Feldarn at the academy in North Freeport.  Motius is impatient but takes the report. Upon reviewing it, he claims to be reminded of similar tempests that were witnessed long ago, as described in the books of Sol Ro.  When you ask him about the books, he explains that many houses of arcane knowledge came from the Temple of Solusek Ro.  Motius then asks you to help locate the book, Inimicus Codex, within the library.

The Inimicus Codex is located in a stack of books on a table in the northeast corner of the library. Take the book to Motius, and he will look for information about the tempests within. As he feared, the storms are not Norrathian, but an attack from The Void.

He will next ask you to obtain additional information from the Order of Flame, in the Shrine of Thunder in Lavastorm.

Motius will give you the Min Frith Dorchae potion to use on creatures you see through the glasses.

Revisit the tempest, don your new goggles, and you'll find tempest touched creatures standing in its wake. Use the potion on them and they'll be cleansed.  You'll need to cleanse 9 of them, but be wary; each cleansing releases a voidbeast.
