We've added a lot of new features over the past three weeks to EQ2players.com. In addition to improved performance we have also removed many of the search restrictions which used to exist. Listed below are several of the new changes we've made. We will continue to improve performance on these searches and should soon have new sections available such as "Server Artisan Listings", "Class Rankings" and more.

You can now search two different ways for Items:

  • Quick Search from the main item page (Requires Subscription to Station Players Dynamic Item Database) allows you to quickly find an item by slot and part of the items name.
  • Advanced Search lets you look for items by a given slot, knowledge, min or max skill, effect or statistic modifier. Now you can quickly find that Helmet that gives Wisdom or that Earring with Power Regeneration.

  • Added new information to search results including Knowledge required and Min and Max skill.
    • Now you can more quickly see if an item is within your level or skill range as you browse through search results.
  • Players searches have had most restrictions removed.
  • You can now search three different ways for players:
    • Quick Search from the main character index page (allows you to quickly find a character by their name on a given server)
    • Advanced Search (Allows you to quickly find players of a given class, level, or on a given server without knowing a characters name).
    • Trader Search (Allows you to quickly find Artisans of a given level or on a given server to assist you with making items in game).
  • Item and Player searches return unlimited rows that you can page through (100 results per page).

  • Recent Activity on Server Pages is now more reader friendly.

Items are broken down by category for easier browsing

New Guilds now show number of members, average level and the creation rank on the server

  • Added over 50 new skins to guild websites using a Header Only site layout
  • Updated Guild Rosters on EQ2Players.Com
    • You can now see Number of Quests Completed, Kill v Death Ratio and Status Contributions from all of the guilds members sample:

EverQuest II is a big game with lots of content and features. One of the ways players can explore the many facets of the world of Norrath is by trying out various race/class combinations. Seeing the game through the eyes of a wood elf Paladin who lives in Qeynos is a lot different than playing as an ogre Coercer from Freeport. Additionally, some players like to create characters on multiple servers so they can adventure alongside friends that might not all reside in the same game world.

Since launch, EverQuest II subscribers have had four character slots that can be used to try out multiple characters. Many of you have said that four slots just isn't enough to play the game all the ways you'd like to play it, and we've listened to your feedback. That's why we're pleased to announce that we will soon be giving all our EverQuest II subscribers two additional character slots. Subscribing to EverQuest II will provide a total of six character slots, while our Station Access subscribers will have a total of ten slots.

With these additional character slots, you can experience the world of EverQuest II more ways than ever before. Players on our Test server will receive these additional slots when they being testing Live Update #5 during the week of March 14. Players on our live servers will get the new slots when the update moves to the live servers during the week of March 21.

Thanks for playing EverQuest II and for providing feedback that helps us continue to improve the game.
