Kazuki, a player from Japan, was interviewed at the 2008 Fan Faire in Las Vegas by Midori "Momochi" McDaniel (Senior Japanese Community Relations Representative). Kazuki was one of the top 5 finalists in the 2008 Fan Faire Costume Contest. You can see him in his Neo costume below!
Momochi: Hello there. I'd like to interview a player who came from Japan!
Kazuki: Hello
M: What is your main in-game character name?
K: It's Kazuki.
M: What SOE game are you playing?
K: MXO!
M: How long have you been playing MXO?
K: I have been playing MXO for about 3 and half years since it was beta.
M: What do you like about MXO?
K: Fighting and story are really fun but I really enjoy meeting with the players from all over the world and that's one of the reason I still play the game.
M: What country are those players living in?
K: Most players are from the US and UK but I have met some Italian and Greek players. I enjoy playing with many players who are not native English speakers as well.
M: What was the reason you chose MXO among SOE games?
K: I love the original movies so I was keeping my eyes since it was in beta period.
M: Do you have a hard time to play with the foreign players and also what is the fun part of it?
K: At the beginning, I had trouble communicating in English but eventually I started communicating just fine and it was a good English lesson for me!
M: Have you had any miscommunication?
K: I didn't understand slang words at first so I looked up the dictionary and found what those words mean. Sometimes, I found the meaning later on and found what others meant after the game play. lol
M: Is there any new SOE games you would like to check out?
K: I'd like to check out "The Agency" the most.
M: How are you enjoying SOE Fan Faire?
K: Most players are very friendly and I am very much having fun.
