How did you get started gaming?

My brother bought me my first PS1 for my birthday one year, that's when I really started. I had a Nintendo and all that stuff to but didn't play much. He also got me involved in EQ1. Played for a little bit but when Shadows of Luclin came out, my stupid computer couldn't handle it anymore. Played EQoA as my substitute for around 4 years, got too many max level characters to enjoy it anymore so came to EQ2.

What’s your favorite part of EQII, the thing that keeps you in game?

For the most part I love the community on Unrest. Majority of people are really laid back and very willing to answer questions. Half the time when I'm on the game I'm really not doing anything but running circles in NQ and listening to Guild Chat. Antonica's Nameless FTW! ANDF Radio is the newest thing to keep me coming back for more.

What is your funniest EQII moment?

Oh I know this one. Guild was raiding and everyone was pretty serious. It got quiet in Voice chat so I turned on my mic and all they hear is my daughter saying 'Stinky poot heads!' (she is 2) They busted in laughter and the rest of the raid went fine.

Any words of wisdom for fellow gamers?

Don't let others tell you how to play your character. Just play them to the best of your ability and enjoy the game. After all it is just that, a game. A lot of people really dislike others that take the game too seriously. I play to relax and take my mind off real life for a couple hours a day, and suggext that to the ones that think it's really life.

Geek credentials?

Hmmmm. I would say all the EQ I have played in my life. I was totally dedicated to EQoA for years. Husband and I actually called in sick from work a few times just so we could play and raid things. I wear glasses (stereotypical geek, right?). I love Star Wars. I not a total lush over it, but a good concept and all. Most things in history really interest me, like ancient civilizations. Oh and I was really good a math in HS, was the only 10th grader in Trig.

Something about you that people wouldn’t usually guess?

I love to watch my husband play games more than I like to play them myself. I will find myself watching him play war games, like Socom, for hours. I also love to help him in games where you have to solve puzzles. I think I get a kick out of it more than actually doing it myself. I love those type of games but am not very good at them personally.

Other stuff?

My husband and I play together. Only recently this was possible since he got his own computer. We are both 80 and enjoy helping lower level people and even higher level people with things they need help with.
