So you think you're an EQII Legend? Maybe so... but you'll have to prove it! Dress your character in his or her finest armor, equip the most epic weapon, search for an iconic location, strike a pose and then…BAM! Screen capture. These summer events are all about players living the legacy and we want to help you show off. This is your chance to let others outside of the game see what you have achieved. Each week we will be posting images leading up until the announcement of the winners. Get in-game and show us your stuff!

  • Compete for exciting prizes by submitting your screen shot in the Become a Legend contest:
  • While in an iconic area, capture an image of your EQII legend in a heroic pose that you feel best represents your legacy.
  • Write a five (5) to eight (8) sentence story about your epic EQII adventures and how you have lived the EQII legacy.

Contest Details & Rules

Transmit an e-mail specifying EverQuest II Become a Legend Contest Entry in the subject line along with 1) a .jpg format in-game screenshot from EQII (approximately 600x400 pixels) of your EverQuest II character; 2) a five (5) to eight (8) sentence description of your character's legacy in EverQuest II; and 3) include the following information: name, mailing address (street, apartment number (if any), city, state, zip code; no P.O. boxes please), Station name, and EverQuest II character name (e.g. the name of the character you are depicting in your photo entry) and server name to EQ2Contest@soe.sony.com between June 26, 2008 and July 21, 2008. Contest is open only to natural persons, eighteen (18) years or older, who are legal residents of the fifty (50) United States (including the District of Columbia) for the duration of the Contest. By participating in the Contest, you agree to comply with the Official Rules, EverQuest II End User License Agreement, Station Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and all other EverQuest II rules, regulations, and policies. Entrants not complying with these requirements will be disqualified. Entrant expressly acknowledges and agrees that all content is owned by Sponsor. The concept for the photograph must be the entrant's original design and creation. The content of the photograph must not be subject to the rights of any third parties, other than Sponsor.

  • Grand Prize: Up to one (1) Grand Prize Winner will be chosen. Grand Prize consists of: one (1) digital version of the upcoming EverQuest II Expansion Pack (scheduled for release Fall 2008), one (1) Living Legacy T-shirt, and one (1) EverQuest II koozie. Approximate Retail Value of Grand Prize: $59.97.
  • Runner-Up Prize: Up to one (1) Runner-Up Prize Winner will be chosen. Runner-Up Prize consists of: one (1) digital version of the upcoming EverQuest II Expansion Pack (scheduled for release Fall 2008) and one (1) Living Legacy T-shirt. Approximate Retail Value of Runner-Up Prize: $54.98.
  • Third Place Prize: Up to one (1) Third Place Prize Winner will be chosen. Third Place Prize consists of: one (1) digital version of the upcoming EverQuest II Expansion Pack (scheduled for release Fall 2008). Approximate Retail Value of Third Place Prize: $39.99.
  • Honorable Mention Prizes: Up to two (2) Honorable Mention Prize Winners will be chosen. Each Honorable Mention Prize consists of: one (1) Living Legacy T-shirt. Approximate Retail Value of Each Honorable Mention Prize: $14.99.
    Additionally, the prize-winning photographs will be displayed as "EverQuest II Become a Legend Photo Winners" (subject to Sponsor guidelines, standards, and practices, and in a manner and location determined by Sponsor in its discretion) on the http://www.station.sony.com website and/or any other EverQuest II related website in Sponsor's sole discretion.
