A Preview of "Gathering Tempest"

"Gathering Tempest" (Game Update #46) is currently slated to go live on US servers on June 17th, 2008. Today we would like to build upon the information shared in the Sneak Peek for "Gathering Tempest" and show you a bit more of what to look forward to in next weeks update!

  • Runnyeye: The Gathering

Goblins of all nations have been seen travelling into the halls of Runnyeye Citadel. Groups of high level players are encouraged to return to this popular zone and investigate just what it is that is drawing the goblins to gather near Bog Mountain.

This revisited version of an old and favorite zone should provide new challenges, new quests, and new named NPC's for high level players to face off against.

  • Strange Storms

A number of mysterious and dark storms have erupted all across Norrath. Members of Freeport's Academy of Arcane Science and Qeynos' Concordium have been sent across all the lands to investigate these storms. If you would like to lend them a hand and learn more about the cause of these storms be sure to find an Academy Apprentice or Concordium Pupil Adept and let them know!

More Status Rewards in More Places!

A large number of group instances now offer status rewards for defeating the bosses within. Gather your friends and prepare for even more reasons to face off against some familiar named faces.

The following zones have benefited from these additional status rewards:
Chelsith, Charasis: Maiden's Chamber, Charasis: Vault of Eternal Sleep, Crypt of Agony, Court of Korucust, Shard of Fear, Estate of Unrest, Crypt of Valdoon, Obelisk of Blight, The Acadechism, Court of Innovation, Halls of Fate, Den of the Devourer, Blackscale Sepulcher, Nest of the Great Egg, Vault of El'Arad, Cazel's Mesa, and Scornfeather Roost.

  • Live Event Rewards Gain New Functionality

If you are one of the many who have completed the Live Event quest series for "A Prophet Returns" you will find that your rewards will gain new functionality with the "Gathering Tempest" update. Not only will the rewards function as weapons, but they will now function as house items. Just examine them after the update to expand upon their utility.

If you haven't completed the live event quests yet, there is still plenty of time to do so this weekend, and a convenient walkthrough to help you complete the quest if you get stuck!

There is much more coming to EverQuest II with the release of "Gathering Tempest" next week! Be sure to watch the EQ2Players.com website for more news and information as the update nears.
