Gorowyn City Quests:

An Eye on the Celestial Watcher

Talk to Evdokia, Disciple of Disease, located in Gorowyn, near The Breathing Pools (loc 2640,120,1120). Evdokia is standing with Hrath Everstill, Prophet of Bertoxxulous. She will tell you about the recent proclamation of Ealaynya Ithis, Seeress at the Temple of Life in Qeynos, to be a Prophetess of Rodcet Nife. She will offer you a quest to get information about the prophet from a member of Lucan's spy network, who can be found at the docks, intoxicated and loose-lipped.

Your first step is to find the loose-lipped spy at Gorowyn's docks. This spy is Gervius Brega. Gervius is celebrating a job he's nearly finished, and spills a little more information that he should. He has just been to Qeynos to check up on the locals, where he found out that a priestess of the Celestial Watch claims to have had visions and was whisked away to meet Rodcet Nife, The Prime Healer. The people believe her, and many say they saw the temple disappear before their very eyes. Gervius says he ended up on the boat with one of the temple's followers; a tall, white Kerra woman who wears red. He last saw her hanging around the Wards.

Travel to the Wards in Gorowyn and you'll discover Wangari Fisshar, who fits Gervius' description. Ask her about her journey to Qeynos, and she'll be happy to tell you that Rodcet Nife has chosen a prophet upon Norrath, Seeress Ealaynya Ithis. She will then give you a book, Shepherd of the Celestial Watch, which recounts the history of the Prophetess.

The final step is to return to Evdokia and give her the book. She looks at it and learns all she needs to know, then gives the book back to you as your reward.

Bring on the Blight

If you haven't already done so, seek out a blighted citizen and speak with them. This will open the quest.

Seek out Hrath Everstill, near The Breathing Pools, and he will tell you of his love for disease. Mention the work of Bertox and you will gain his trust. He will then ask if you would like to serve and help bring praise to the Plaguebringer. Consent to do so, and Hrath will offer you the quest and give you the a poison called Hand of Pestilence, so you may infect healthy citizens of the city (citizens who are labeled "healthy"; in their name).

Healthy citizens can be found near The Breathing Pool and inside the city. Use the poison on one. You will discover that it has not, in fact, infected them. Return to Hrath and let him know that the disease did not last.

Hrath believes that some citizens must be immune to this strain of the disease. He will give you a more powerful strain, Fist of Pestilence, and send you back out to do your work.

Infect the first healthy citizen you see, and you will find that this stronger strain cannot be resisted. You'll need to infect 11 more healthy citizens, then return to Hrath.

Hrath is pleased with your progress, but says there is one more threat to his plans that needs to be dealt with; individuals who fight the blessings of the Plaguebringer. You must take care of the healer within the Conservatory of the Reborn is Gorowyn.

Find Sister Evvie in the Conservatory. She will attack you on sight, and your only choice is to defeat her.

Once again go talk to Hrath, and he will reward you for your service with a weapon; Ghastly Fist of Pestilence, Lurid Claw of Pestilence, Putrified Fist of Pestilence, or Rancid Claw of Pestilence.

Crusade of Infection

Once you have completed Bring on the Blight, Evdokia will once again speak to you. If you would like to help again, she will offer you the Crusade of Infection quest. She will give you a new bottle of Fist of Pestilence and send you off to infect 12 more healthy citizens.

Infect the 12 citizens and return to Evdokia to receive your monetary reward. This quest is repeatable.

Qeynos City Quests:

Celestial Watcher

First speak with Arthin Dawnhammer, Celestial Watch Acolyte, found at the water's edge at The Temple of Life. He will greet you and speak of the inevitable return of the Prime Healer, and tell of his amazing experience. He says he was inside the temple when, in a great flash of light, he found himself outside of the temple, and spoke with others who saw the temple disappear. The followers feared the worst for the Seeress who was also inside, and their prayers were answered when the temple reappeared. Arthin then asks if you would like to learn more about Seeress Ealaynya Ithis. If you accept, you will be given the quest.

Speak with Priest Ian Turner, Priestess Allora Reed, Priestess Avarona Wenhaver, and Meredeth. They will each tell you about their witnessing of this miracle, and give you more information about the Seeress.

After you have spoken to all four, you will be rewarded with a book, Shepherd of the Celestial Watch.

Blight on the Horizon

If you haven't already done so, seek out a blighted citizen and speak with them. This will open the quest.

Enter the Temple of Life through the portal near the water. Once inside, speak to Seeress Ealaynya Ithis, Harbinger of Life. She will greet you and explains that the temple has been provided by Rodcet Nife, so that his followers may purge the world of disease and death. She speaks of a day when all citizens will be immortal. She then tells of the responsibilities given to her by the Prime Healer, and a cure for blights and pestilence. The Seeress will next offer you a quest to help ease the suffering of those infected, and give you the Aab'I Hayat potion to help cure them.

Find a blighted citizen and use the Aab'I Hayat on them. Unfortunately it will not cure the blight. You must return to the Seeress to seek further assistance.

The Seeress confesses that the Prime Healer didn't originally give her the Aab'I Hayat. She told him she'd seen it in a vision, and he allowed her to take it. She decides to give you Pestilent Serum 92C instead, and is sure this will do the trick.

Pestilent Serum 92C does indeed work, and once you have cured your first citizen, you will then need to cure 11 more. Upon curing them, visit the Seeress once again.

Pleased with your progress, the Seeress thanks you. She then tells you of a vision she has had, of a child tripping on the streets in Qeynos, only to be approached as a man dressed as a healer. The healer touches the crying child's skinned knee, but instead of healing the child, it is soon covered in sores. The man's robes turned dark, and she is sure he is spreading the blight. She says to look for him in South Qeynos,

Putnam Chortlewhirl is hiding behind the Lion's Mane inn. He will attack on sight, and you must defeat him in order to complete the quest.

Return to the Seeress one last time and tell her of your deed, and she will offer you her gratitude and a weapon; Divine Celestial Mallet, Splendid Celestial Blade, Undaunted Celestial Mallet, or Valiant Celestial Blade.

Crusade of Healing

Once you have completed Blight on the Horizon, Ealaynya will once again speak to you. If you would like to help again, she will offer you the Crusade of Healing quest. She will give you a new bottle of Pestilent Serum 92C and send you off to cure 12 more blighted citizens.

Cure the 12 citizens and return to Ealaynya to receive your monetary reward. This quest is repeatable.

What will come of this fight of good vs. evil? Will the healers stifle the efforts of the Plaguebringer's followers? Or will the Prime Healer's good citizens be outnumbered by those spreading the blight? Head over to the Quest and Live Event Forum to discuss your thoughts on these events.
