Where in the real life world do you live? Saint-Petersburg (not the one in Florida, but real one - in Russia) :)
What type of work do you do? Program Manager in big software development company.
What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most? I was very young when I got my first computer (ZX Spectrum) so I don't even remember what got me into gaming. But right now, I am only into online gaming - no more offline games for me, fighting scripted monsters is too boring :)
What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing EQII? Don't really have much free time for anything except couple of hours of EQ2 - I work too much I guess... ;)
What other MMOs have you played? Counter Strike (when I am coming home from work feeling like I wanna shoot someone).
How long have you played EQII? For 3 years now
How long is your typical gaming session when playing EQII? 2-3 hours
What does a typical EQII day consist of for you? Depends on guildies, but most of all I like solo PVE/PVP.
What was the race and class of your very first character? Wow, nostalgia. Erudite Necromancer Evilan on Runnyeye... took about 1.5 years to level him to 60 :) I was a noob and XP was slow at that time.
What is your highest level in EQII? 70, and I am very proud that I've finally made it there with my latest char.
What race and class is your main character? Wood Elf Illusionist (female) - sex choice is not because I want to be a woman in this fantasy world and stuff, but solely because I figured I'd rather be staring at woman's back for 2 hours every day, then at a man's. :)
What do you like the most about the class you have chosen for your main character?
It is decent at soloing
It makes huge difference in heroic content
It is desired on raids (although I don't like to raid)
It is underplayed: nerf likelihood is lower than for other classes :) (don't get me started on my ranger alt!!!)
Does your main character worship a deity? Sol Ro for cloak... switching to Bristlebane is on my "to do" list!
How did you choose your main character's name? I was lucky to log on 10 sec after the server first started to be able to get this name. It is nice because you can construct very interesting full names with White being the first word.
Which classes in EQII have you NOT played? I have played *all* classes, most at least until 20-30.
What is your favorite expansion? Hard question! Probably it is DOF because of Sinking Sands... this zone has soul. KOS comes very close with Tenebrous Tangle.
What is your favorite zone? Nothing in EQ2 will ever bit Solusek Eye. Ever! It is impossible. Sometimes it's cool just to go there, sit somewhere deep in the zone, listen to the absolutely unreal zone music and think about real-world stuff staring at lava. While there, it really feels like you are the only one in the whole universe, so if I want to spent some time alone while not leaving home, I do that. :) Also, I love Commonlands. I like open spaces.
What is your favorite npc? Goblins are fun. I want Goblin illusion on my Illy!!!
What is the most platinum you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters? Probably around 5p (I am greedy). As we say in Russia (when you are hesitant about paying big money to get something), "Toad suffocates me" to spend too much money on the in-game stuff.
Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so what is it and why do you keep it? I keep set of SK armor from Freeport Ruins quest line because I like its red look. I am looking forward to introducing mannequins in the game so I can put it in my room.
What do you like best about EQII? PVP, if it was not here I would not be here too. I got tired of smashing scripted pixels on PVE server very fast...
What do you get out of playing EQII? Adrenaline :) Yay PVP server! Also EQ2 community (esp. Russian one) is big thing for me... tbh I am spend more time on EQ2 forums, than actually playing EQ2.
Describe your best experience from playing EQII? There was a few, hard to remember exact one, but they are all similar. I like to call it "when something happens like it is a scripted movie". E.g., you come to help your friends in PVP battle that very last possible second before wipe, and turn the battle upside down. Also, once we beat full orange group in Solusek Eye because I was thinking a bit faster and "split" them on 3 pairs using big elevator thing. It was too funny to watch.
Do you run or work for an EQII Fan Site? I regularly post stuff on WiKi, eq2.wikia.com I think it is best EQ2 resource ever.
