Did you attend the Star Wars Celebration 4 in L.A. last week? SOE did and we threw a party for Star Wars Fans or anyone in the area that plays SOE games.

Sony Online Entertainment hosted a Meet and Greet on Thursday May 24th in conjunction with Star Wars celebration. We invited all of our SOE customers to joins us at Rick's Place which was a cross between a Tatooine cantina and a far off destination. We surprised most of our guests with a hearty cheer as they entered.. We had fans from the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Can you believe Florida, Michigan and Japan? The first guests to arrive were Steven from the Eclipse server and his Father. They had come out from Florida for Star Wars Celebration but when Steven heard he would be able to meet Jason "Pex" Ryan and talk a little Star Wars Galaxies; his Father could not keep him away.

As the sun set on this exciting locale, travelers descended on the free drinks and food, provided by their glorious hosts. If you wanted prizes we had them. Limited edition records, pictures, tee shirts, and games galore were handed out for reenactments. That's right we wanted to hear your best Yoda speak and Wookiee growls. Two of our guests attempted a monologue from Revenge of the Sith. Having to do an impromptu monolog in front of strangers is a tough call. They were great sports but could not find their motivation. Just when we thought that the evening was winding down the Jedi showed up in force. There might not have been any dancing but some saber duals sure broke out. One of our Japanese fans was kind enough to borrow a saber and dazzle onlookers with an exciting and graceful demonstration of skilled sword play which had everyone enthralled. Luckily for us no Stromtroopers showed up to ruin the evening. One of them even did a great Darth Vader imitation for us it was like James Earl Jones was there with us. We invited Steven to the SOE offices for a tour.

We also had some great EverQuest 2 players attend which made Grimwell's day. The Dev team membersSaavededra and Rothgar loved the opportunity to talk EQ2 design.

If you missed out on the excitement, you may want to keep an eye out for upcoming SOE Community events because SOE is where the fun begins.
