Game Update 35 is right around the corner and there is a lot of information to cover. From the inclusion of a new starting city, to some very handy tools, this update is packed full of goodness. Let's take a sneak peek at them all!

Arasai, Darklight Wood, and Neriak

Wish your Fae were just a little less sparkly and loveable? Find Kelethin a bit too high up in the trees for your acrophobia? The Arasai are the answer for you. Gone is the loveable and cute nature of the denizens of Faydark, replaced with all the malice a Dark Queen could force into such a small package. With Game Update 35 the Arasai race is now available for evil characters starting in Neriak. The Arasai have a look all their own and this is just a small sample of the options anyone making these characters will have.

The Arasai and other evil races will begin their adventuring careers in Darklight Wood in the outpost known as Hate's Envy. Initially built by the Thexians, Hate's Envy has been taken over by Neriak to serve as their forward point in Darklight. The outpost offers everything a new character needs to begin their career, including a full suite of quests that will take new characters from levels 1 - 20.

Once you've outgrown Hate's Envy, you will want to check out the city of Neriak. Neriak is a full city zone for players new and old to set as their base of operations. Everything your character will need out of a home is provided, and the atmosphere is just right for folks who like things on the malevolent side.

New Character Slots for All

Players everywhere will be excited to know that Game Update 35 includes the addition of one new character slot for every account. This way everyone can create a new character and check out Neriak, or any other city in the game that they so choose. Players who have Station Access accounts are being granted two new character slots at the same time. Everyone wins!

LFG Improvements

Having a hard time finding groups? If you could be more specific about the role you wish to take in the group, or the one you are hoping to fill in your group would it help? Good news then, Game Update 35 also includes a revised "looking for group" tool that will allow you to show exactly what you are hoping to do in your group. The enhanced LFG system will make it easier for players everywhere to communicate their needs and find new friends to adventure with!

Housing and Moving Improvements

Would you like to move to a larger home, or one in a different city, and yet you find lugging your house items across the city or world to be too much of a task to complete? Included in GU35 is the introduction of moving crates. When you wish to move, just buy a new house and you will find all of your items crated and waiting for you. All you need to do from there is unpack the items from the crate and place them as you desire in the new home.

New Rules for PvP

Players on the PvP servers should be warned that they can no longer escape across zone lines to avoid PvP combat. If you are engaged in combat with another player, and they have hate generated for your character, you will not be able to escape across zone lines to avoid that combat. Sharpen those blades and ready your spells, PvP combat is about to get more intense!

Naturally, even this preview is just a sampling of the highlights coming for GU35. The update is currently slated to go live on the 23rd of May. When it does, be sure to read the full Update Notes for a complete detail of the changes!
