Hark! Be that the Town Crier I spy? He brings us tidings from the far reaches of Norrath's influence. Be they dismal, strange, or otherwise? Let's find out!

Fansite Action

The Druid's Grove has found new hosting services to plant their roots in. Visitors to the Grove should find things much more stable and functional. There is a lot of activity going on at the DG, new site skins, and as always new guides for your viewing pleasure. Be sure to pay them a visit and see if you can help out.

EQ2 Allakhazam has a bit of something new for everyone these days. Are you afraid or unable to enter into the Estate of Unrest? Fear not, they have a guide up that can show you the safer path to the zone. They also have a pair of guides for our friends in the tradeskilling community. The first is a guide that will show you what each harvested resource is used for, and the second explains what those rare events are when you are creating your items.

The Ten Ton Hammer has presented a number of solid articles as of late, including this one that focuses on how to use the new Macro system as introduced in GU 33. There is also a new and handy zone guide for Kaladim. If you are headed in that direction, and could use some assistance, this could be the guide for you. Also, before you head into Kaladim, be sure to read their guide on the Stormhammer Signature Quest, you may wish to tackle both at the same time! Not interested in the mountains? They also have a fine guide to Lesser Faydark.

The folks at Battle Mage have delivered a few posts containing what is likely to be just the beginnings of a great number of resources for the Mage community. Check out their Mage FAQ, and Mage dps tier - parses to see how you shake down compared to your peers.

Did you know that EQII has been released in Russia? Our friends at WarCry not only know this, but also have a fine interview with Laura Naviaux and David Kim on the topic of the Russian market. It's a great read that provides some insight into how a game is localized for a new market.

The Town Crier stopped over at the EQII MMO DB and discovered that they have had a steady stream of new information flow into the site. If you have yet to check out their data, this may be a very good time to do so.

EQ2Craft also continues to expand their crafting database. If you have questions about a recipe, this is a great resource to find that answer! If you have all the recipes, they'd love you to stop over and fill a few of the missing ones in their DB!

Blogging Norrathians

Wilhelm put up a pictoral of his characters with the /cutemode heads that were turned on as a part of the April Fools event. If you didn't get a chance to see everyone in the game with the larger heads, and can't jump into game right now, this is a good chance to get a quick peek at them!

Leo's EQII Journey has a nice pictoral up of his recent raid into the Lycecum of Abhorence. The final shot is him in his new relic hat! Stop by and say congratulations.

Cuppycake recently had her first run through in Crushbone Keep, and blogged about her experience. It's a good way to remember that not everyone has steam plowed through 100% of the EoF content, and a great chance to give someone some kudos.

Podcasts of Norrathins

EQ2-Daily has their 39th podcast up. The team at EQ2-Daily breaks down GU 33 in good detail, Hardcore and Casual gamers, and other unmentionables in space. It's a good listen as always, be sure to check it out!
