Today, characters on the Zarrakon Server were merged to Antonia Bayle. This merger has freed up resources needed for the new server coming this year. We have put together the following FAQ to answer some common questions.
FAQ:
Q: How were duplicate names handled?
A: In the event of duplicate character names due to this merge, priority was given to the character who had logged in to the game within the past sixty (60) days. If multiple characters had logged in within the past sixty (60) days, then the character which was created first will retain their name. Other same-named characters have had a "Z" or "X" (or several) added to their names automatically until their name is unique. Each player that is auto-renamed this way has been provided with a free rename potion so that they may change their name.
Q: My character’s name was taken or modified; can I pick a new name?
A: Yes, you can do this by using the /rename command at your convenience. Type /rename <new_first_name> while logged into your character.
Q: Was there any elimination of characters altogether based on level, cash reserves, etc.?
A: No, there was no elimination of characters.
Banks
Q: What happened to my bank or shared bank?
A: All items were transferred completely. If you deleted all characters on Zarrakon before the merge, your shared bank will still appear on Antonia Bayle in the overflow items window.
Guilds / Coalitions
Q: Should I have emptied my guild hall?
A: No, all guilds and guild halls were moved onto the same server. All housing was moved as well.
Q: If our name was changed, how will the members of our guild know who we are? How will the guild still be together if everyone is renamed?
A: In the guild roster everyone has kept their notes, rank, and anything else tied to that character. If a character was renamed, it was automatically updated on the guild rosters. All characters that were auto renamed have the option to do a free name change. If the free name change is used, it will automatically update the name on the guild roster as well.

Q: How were guild names handled?
A: If two or more guilds had the same name at the time of the server merge, the oldest guild has kept the guild name, and the other guild had a "Z" appended to it. If this happened to your guild, you have been given a free guild name change.
If you have a free guild name change, the guild leader can select a new guild name by using the command /guild rename.
If there is no leader in your guild, /initiate_guild_leader_vote can be used by guild officers to help the guild choose a new leader.
Q: Were any guilds deleted?
A: Guilds are not deleted during server merges.
