Hail, Norrathians! Since the April Producer’s Letter, we’ve had some excitement with the Origins PvP server, Dozekar’s launch, Anashti Sul unlocking Kingdom of Sky, and more. We’ve also kicked off our yearly Extra Life fundraising efforts along with our global Daybreak Games Super Team page. These last few months, Lure of Darkness launched, Beast’r Eggstravaganza hopped through, some new options for the look of dwarves, humans and elves were unlocked, Summer Jubilee kicked off with Tinkerfest, and we added a plethora of desk mats into the Swag Store

In other news, Darkpaw Games, as part of Daybreak Games' DE&I initiative, recently pledged a donation of $5,000 to The San Diego LGBT Community Center. One of the many projects this organization works on is helping to solve the housing crisis in San Diego. Speaking of Pride, this year's Pride familiars were the most adorable Red Panda Plushies, I hope you all enjoyed them. It’s been a busy few months, but we are not done yet!

Here is an outline of what has happened since my last Producer’s Letter.

Coming up in the next few months will be some great events, such as Scorched Sky Celebration and Oceansfull Festival! Anashti Sul will have a Beta for Echoes of Faydwer in September to prepare for a December launch. Not to mention, we will be posting Extra Life Incentives later this month. We have some amazing things coming up for you all this year! Before you know it, it will be time for Panda, Panda, Panda and Swag It Up!

Our Community Manager, Angeliana, is working hard to get a Content Creator program off the ground later this year as well as opening applications for the Community Resource Council. Keep your eyes peeled for the posts.

Of course, none of us can forget our fast approaching 22nd expansion! Zone artists have been busy turning humble design documents into incredible landscapes, perfectly suited to be filled by designers with the new threats and twisted horrors currently being made by our character artists. Where will the expansion be taking us, and who or what are these threats? There are sure to be some answers, and likely, even more questions, when Heralds of Oblivion, the exciting expansion prelude event, kicks off on the live servers in September.

Violent rifts begin opening across Norrath, unleashing a myriad of aggressors, and just when one might assume the situation can’t get worse… you can bet, it will. Every hero, no matter their adventure level or tradeskill experience, will be called upon to help battle this growing onslaught. There will be no avoiding the Heralds of Oblivion!

Heralds of Oblivion is shaping up to be the biggest prelude event to rock Norrath since 2018’s Against the Elements event that preceded Chaos Descending. Over the span of the event, it will deliver a slew of new content including 5 tradeskill quests, 5 adventure quests, 2 public quests, 2 collections, and an expansive list of rewards including equipment, house items, recipes, and pets!
